Re: Indian Air Force Base - file downloads

Post by Stewart Pearson »

Okay guys, here are the first two Indian Bases. Kalaikunda (VE1G) and Jaisalmer (VIJR). Both these bases were included in Ray Parker's IAF Hunters package. I had intended just amending Ray's files, but couldn't get it to work - so I did them from scratch - sorry Ray. :oops:

Note to Flightplanners

According to the India Times, Kalaikunda is now home to a Squadron of SU-30 and also one of Mig-21s. These units were destined for the Nicobar and Andaman Islands, but this was shelved after the Tsunami in 2004.

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/indi ... 214082.cms

Perhaps some kind fellow could do some plans to reflect this. Meantime both bases can be used with those lovely Hunters (if you like retro stuff) as well as other IAF files located at Avsim/Flightsim.

Voicepacks for the bases included. Check the Read me file for extra downloads needed.

As usual this is representative scenery not custom built.

Any problems, just post on this thread.

Only 44 IAF bases to do :shock: :smt005

Here is the next one on the list - Adampur Airbase, home to 2 Squadrons of Mig-29s.

The download contains static models of Mig-29 and IL-76 aircraft and a big thanks go to Mike Pearson for allowing his textures to be used.

Due to the file size, the download can be found here;

https://www.rapidshare.com/files/183666 ... 20VIAX.zip

As usual this is represntative - not custom built.

Voicepacks for the airport are included as well as a list of the files needed for the scenery to show in the sim.

Hope you guys like.

AGRA AIR BASE - VIAG

The next installment is now availabale for download. Agra Air Base is one of the hub bases for the IAF Transport fleet, hosting AN-32, HS748 and IL-76 units.

Again, due to file size, the base can be downloaded here;

https://www.rapidshare.com/files/319452 ... 20VIAG.zip

As usual this is represntative - not custom built. There is a large apron under construction to the western side of the base, which I have "tried" to represent as well

I have also included recommended files to populate the base with aircraft.

Hope you guys like.

Here are a couple of preview shots.

1. The ADE map.

2. AN-32 ramp with IL-76 in the background.

INDIRA GANDHI AIRPORT - VIDP

For this one, I went down the easy route. There is an excellent scenery available at Avsim for this airport, which is predominantly an International Civilian Hub.

You can get the scenery here;

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... LID=162637

What I have done is enhanced the amount of Military parking spaces to suit our needs. Once you have installed the scenery, delete file AFX_VIDP_FRFv3.bgl from the scenery folder and replace it with the ADE file which is attached to this post.

Enjoy.

MISSING LIBRARY - VIAG

So sorry, folks I missed a library from the list of required files for this one. Get it here;

http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php ... fid=160538

Thanks to Jim Rodger for the heads up.

DELHI - BACKGROUND POLY

A couple of problems were highlighted with scenery bleed through etc.

Hopefully this will fix them.

Go to the FRF-VIDPv3/scenery folder and delete del29-vtbb.bgl

Then paste the attached bgl (VIDP_VTPP) in to the folder.

Hope this works.

Hell, if it doesn't - I didn't make the scenery!!! I'm only doing this out of the kindness of my heart - we haven't been paid here at MAIW for over 6 years you know :cry: :cry: :smt005

Hi Stew

VIDP looks good on my system with your replacement files.

VIAG has a few too many trees around taxiways that connect parking 73-78 close to the H748 ramp

My apologies Peter, I have sacked the subcontractor who assured me that those trees had been "felled" :lol:

Pop the attached bgls in and let me know if that does the trick.

Links to Rapidshare have now been amended - I do wish they wouldn't change the way things work.

Hi mate, there isn't a package as such.

I downloaded the repaints here;

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... LID=136148

and downloaded the transport flightplans from here;

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... LID=137132

Just a question of editing the plans to suit the repaints, these links (as well as others) should be in the readme text document (at least I meant to included them!)

Hasimara AFS - VE0T

This base is located in West Bengal and is home to 222 Sqn, Indian Air Force operating Mig 27.

This scenery will compliment the recent releases by my namesake Mike on Avsim;

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... LID=183588

and

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... LID=183608

Inside the zip you will find the necessary scenery and effects files. Also included are VCPmods for Hasimara ATC as well as a callsign "TIGERSHARK". This callsign is fictional and based on the Squadron name. To get them flying I made use of Dan Fosters flightplans and edited them to suit the new models;

http://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?Ca ... LID=137130

Obviously I cannot include flightplans which are not mine, so I'm afraid you'll need to do the same as me.

A read me listing the required files is also included. Hope you like.

As with all my releases, feel free to alter them to suit your own set-up/requirements.
