Jim Dhaenens

Post by Ripcord »

Just been watching a bit of the news reports from OK today -- looks pretty bad, about as bad as it gets for a major tornado. Then it made me think of Jim Dhaenens, who we all know lives there. Hope this one missed you, Jim, if you are on here.

Does he live in Moore?

Complete destruction in parts of Moore, very very tragic. Same town, nearly the same area was flattened 14 years ago in another tornado, that tornado produced the most powerful winds ever recorded on planet Earth at 314 mph. Lots of meteorologists are saying this tornado was much worse. :|

terrible distruction, but not surprising. I work as a weather forecaster at Lackland/Kelly Field and we were talking about the potential for this event today. In fact, as I was leaving work we got word that five E-3s AWACS were coming to Kelly this afternoon to get out of the path before these storms formed.

I hope we hear from Jim very soon. The pictures look very frightening.
