Hi Joe,
That sounds a bit like you have not activated the MAIW sceneries. Might that be the case?

Read this article, Joe. It should give you an idea what you have to do and comes with some screen shots.

Re: Installer work but doesnt show up in fs9????
no! you must add only the scenery folder to the scenery cfg file. all files (traffic, aircraft and scenery) goes to the right place without other work.11jovic wrote:is thats what i have to do with all of them????? how do i add the traffic and why is there an installer that doesnt install everything automatically ???

Re: Installer work but doesnt show up in fs9????
Yes if you are using FS2004 and MAIW packages the only thing you really NEED to do to ensure that the aircraft are seen properly is to activate the scenery that came with the package in FS. I understand your frustration, however this is a problem we cannot solve as so many people have different setups with their own scenery.11jovic wrote:Right so when i install all the details thats fine i just need to add the installed details to the addon scenery and go to scenery libary and add area and find the one i have installed correct??

Hope this helps

Re: Installer work but doesnt show up in fs9????
No just let the installer install everything straight to your Flight Simulator setup. I believe that the installer should point to the correct place as default. If not the yes set up a separate folder somewhere, install to that and then cut and ast everything across to your FS folder if that's what you'd rather do.11jovic wrote:Right so run the installer as normal where should i save the file to??? desktop or somewhere else then how should put the scenery in with these details???

Step 4) Install Custom Scenery
Included in this package is a set of buildings as custom scenery to spruce up the airports. It should be noted that not installing the scenery will mean that you will probably not see aircraft at the bases listed above. To install this scenery you need to do the following:
1) The folders “MAIW UK Airfields”, “MAIW UK Apache Bases” and “MAIW Scenery Library Objects” have already been installed into the “Addon Scenery” folder of your FS directory. In order to activate this scenery you must start FS9, go to Settings and find the Scenery Library.
2) Click on “ADD AREA” and navigate to the ““MAIW UK Airfields”, “MAIW UK Apache Bases” and “MAIW Scenery Library Objects” folders which should be, by default after installation, located in “Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery”. ***Note it is important that you place the “MAIW Scenery Library Objects” folder as far down your addon scenery list as possible by using the Move Down button. Ideally they should be lower than any other scenery you may have added and just above the default FS9 scenery libraries.
3) Shut down FS and then when you restart the scenery will be installed and ready to use.
This package also features scenery of RAF College Cranwell by Keith Steadman and the team at the Airfield Construction Group. MAIW would like to offer its profound thanks to the team for allowing us to incorporate this scenery into our package. If you already have scenery of RAF Cranwell installed then the only thing you need to do is to remove or delete the file “AF2_EGYD” which is located in “addon scenery\RAF College Cranwell\Scenery”. If you do not already have this scenery installed simply follow the above procedure for the folder “RAF College Cranwell” which has been installed to your “Addon Scenery” folder.

Re: Installer work but doesnt show up in fs9????
Nearly. The installer will install all of the files where they need to be if you point it to your FS9 folder. All you need to do then is start FS9, click on Settings then click on Scenery Library. Find the folders that have been installed and add them to the Library. You have to do this for each scenery folder. In the Grobs for example, there are 4 to be added (the "Scenery" folder shown is already active):11jovic wrote:right so if i install to the main root flight simulator 2004 folder. after that i find the scenery for that pack add it to the fs9 add on scenery folder go to scenery libary in fs9 and add the area and find that file and it will work as normal????

Re: Installer work but doesnt show up in fs9????
Seriously? I don't think we can explain it any clearer than what has been mentioned. Your installer will put ALL folders where they should be. You only need to open the Scenery library in FS9 (as shown above) and ADD whatever folders have been added by the installer. It really is very simple.
Re: Installer work but doesnt show up in fs9????
sorry for being dumb but i dont want to mess anything up......
but where would the added files be in MAIW file or what????? is that wht i select in scenery library???
