It kind-a is finished. lol
Just another one of my almost finished projects. It has several lods but then I stopped work on it as I wanted to change a few things for which at that time were way above my pay grade. With the UKMIL MRTT available to its members, I can't see any real reason any more for me to go back to my model and finish it unless I do it in FSX native at some time.
One never knows, AIG may have something up there sleve.

This is a quick mock-up of my RAF version. :P

O'h, look at that. I just happen to have five of them almost finished and parked at RAAF Base Amberely already.

I'm currently working on wings of another aircraft at the moment so I might just do something with this model as well if I don't run out of puff.

If I send you the Saudi MRTT paints would that tempt you in releasing it for us poor FS9 users ?

Nope!
What I might do is ??? and hopefully if ????? goes to plan, then you can have it flying in your personal simulator.
How does that sound!
I have to be realistic here, there are no package plans for the MRTT KC-30 so no incentatives to work on it for the broader community. It could sit around for a year or two before the guys could even look side ways at it...
Only those people who were good enough to get involved with the model development at some stage will end up having a working copy of it.
Or there is always the source file which is available.
I will say, the MRTT model is a sore spot for me, its love / hate relationship with it.

Ray,
Thank's for that but you hold onto them for now!
We'll see where we are toward the end of this year with regard to the MRTT release. In the developers opinion I don't think the main model is currently good enough to release, there is something about it that bugs me and I think it may be the wing angle, where the rear flap meet the fuselage.
I'd also like to dump the old Fruit Stand type animations on the landing gear for cut-out gear bays and that also means altering the wing and pontoon as the shape is not correct enough to produce the contour of the gear bay doors.
A fair bit of rework to be done and I must say that pontoon part under the fuselage / between the two wings was the hardest part I had ever made on a model at that time.
I now have 50cm model of the Airbus A330-200 on my desk so that should help a little bit.
cheer's,

If any of you Gents have a Saudi MRTT repaint for the Fruit Stand model, I could do some flight plans for them..

Also if anyone has any flight radar information for the Saudi plane that would be helpful as well..

For Aifp to work I would just need the paints to be posted somewhere..

My RAF MRTT plans have been posted on the AIG forums.

Thanks

Much Obliged Daryl.

Would you mind please publishing these paints at either Avsim or Flightsim?

AIFP seems to like either one of those sites better than Mediafire.

Again Thank you and Flightplans should be shortly.

Dick
