AMC East\West C-5 Question

Post by flynby »

Re-downloaded both AMC files. Deleted older files first. After install completed, created new flightplans using AIFP 2.2.8. Open FS9 to see results.
Using model shown, the rear doors never open after waiting 30 seconds. No models that have doors that open work.
Installed the AMC East this morning. Same problem. Have used this C-5 for few years and never had this experience. One other item: If you notice; somehow I now have a "fire extinguisher" and a "box" .
These items do not show up in FSRepaint, but in FS9. On any model I choose.
Tried 6 different versions this morning.
Using XP sp3. Any suggestions how to correct these problems? Appreciate any help.

Do the extinguisher and "box" accompany (move) with the A/C as it taxis and/or flies ? FWIW - In my installation those two objects (extinguisher and ground power unit) are scenery and remain stationary at various parking spots. Oh, and the rear doors on some models are open.

Hello Sir,
Once the clearance is given and told to contact the ground control, the "fire extinguisher and "box" disappear. But the doors are always shut.
Appreciate your reply. Any more ideas to correct this?

Can you check inside your C-5 folder, where you should find the following model files;

Model.Aft
Model.Apache
Model.Closed
Model.Full
Model.Hummer
Model.Nose
Model.Patriot

Just a thought

If you are creating your own plans, you'll need to ensure that the different models are spread through the fleet.

I think what the guys are trying to say is, have you selected in the aircraft.cfg the actual required model you want to use. If your cfg has them all down as closed then that's the only model that will be used.
