Minot AFB

Post by delbydoo »

A couple of quick screenies and a video - this is actually a test vid using AVS video Editor, which I'm finding extremely easy to use. The video capture was taken by using the DVDvideosoft program - a freebie that does literally ALL sorts of capture for video and audio files.....awesome bit of kit!

Thanks Mike (and everyone else for their kind words) - the track seemed a bit sluggish and slow, but with an underline hard thrash which fits the Buff quite nicely; track is War Pig by Black Sabbath from the album Iron Man........

Nice vid. The music made me feel like head banging, literally. lol
I've been looking for a payware vid screen capture program for a couple of weeks but I cant get my head around which one is better than the other!
Great to see the B-52 flying, good job by all involved!

I think Bandicam is better, it is a little less resource heavy than Fraps, however Fraps can do 1080p where Bandicam can only do 720.

Well I don't know about Bandicam, Fraps I know is particularly heavy on FPS but this baby ran sweetly on my setup - the lagging is more to do with the uploading to YouTube than anything else. There was a negligible drop in FPS by about 1-2. Might check out Bandicam and compare.

I found Fraps to be fairly good, frame rate wise on my old 8 year old single core Development PC but I tried DVDvideosoft today, and the play back was like watching a slide show of photos, very slow indeed.

Of course my development PC is a single core 3.2ghz dog running XP SP3 from a day gone by so its not really a good test of what the proggy may be capable of doing on a more recent CPU.
I prefer to use this old machine for development as its easy to reload the OS when the crap hits the fan from all the proggy downloads that get wipped out after I find they don't work very well.
It scares me to think about having to reload Windows 8, so I keep my other machine isolated from the net.
I did find Fraps makes large raw format files but that is fine as each segment of a movie is only a few seconds long before changing to a different angle to keep the movie interesting to the eye. :P
