I think most of us are familiar with VRS Superbug and TacPack -- if you can learn more about those products at www.vrsimulations.com
What is interesting is a freeware project started by a group of developers in France, called FSX @ War. In a word, they are working on a mission builder tool that enables a user to insert his scenery into FSX.
"FSX@War V1.0 is basically a theater editor + a basic Tactical engagement tool. It also comes with a library of more than 100 SimObjects (statics planes, vehicles, buildings,...) designed in 3 versions (operational/damaged/destroyed with dedicated effects) to be displayed in the theater as targets for TacPack munitions. "

So as you can see here they are reaching out to the community for freeware destructible objects to add to the library. If there was ever a group of folks that fit that bill, it us clearly the talented artists/developers here at MAIW.
OK now I realize many of you are FS-Niners, but the 3d objects still look good in FSX.
Anyway, if anybody is interested, I would love for your work to be included in this freeware effort. It is a tremendous undertaking in my view.
Cheers

Re: FSX @ War taking contributions
Allow me a quick update on this, just in case anybody is interested.
Today I got my hands on 'the tool' from this French dev team that is building FSX@War. They allowed me to share the thumbnail images for all of their in-game objects that can be hand-placed with the editing tool that they have built (still work in process). Here is a link to that thread over on the VRS TacPack forums:

EDIT: I still feel that this project is really screaming out for some of your AI models, guys, but we would have to provide damaged and destroyed versions of each model as well. Maybe that can be achieved though using the existing damaged and destroyed ones, I don't know.
