UKs F-35

The UK's very first Lockheed F-35 Lightning II touched down at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire just before 20:00 BST on Wednesday 29th June 2016, The Lightning II, which is capable of short take off and vertical landing, will enter service with the RAF and the Royal Navy in 2018. They will be displayed at the Royal International Air Tattoo and the Farnborough Air Show over the next few weeks.
