fs9 to fsx ai traffic conversion problem

Post by ngdriver »

I have been using fs9 traffic files with no problem in fsx. thought to finally bulk convert using ai flight planner. conversion was successful and new files placed into scenery/world/scenery folder with _fsx extension. now all of my ai traffic is gone.

I decompiled one into text format and recompiled with the same result.

suggestions?

If you missed one and still have a FS9 traffic bgl in with FSX traffic bgl then that will cause your problem

As Steve says you have missed at least one traffic bgl. Most likely it is included in a scenery folder. Whilst the default location for traffic files in FS9 was Scenry\World\scenery they could actually be picked up from any folder active in the scenery.cfg.

We did use it a couple of times for vehicle traffic, like Nellis and Topgun, whilst other people like John Stinstrom used it quite a lot for his own scenery releases.

That did the trick. I had one FS9 file in there. Thank you for the help!
