Thanks Steve. The Evil Empire is always to blame and the Beardy one is its chief disciple. I now have Broadband back after the Engineer visited this morning. He had fixed the problem before even arriving at my door, concluding correctly that the idiots doing upgrades last week had neglected to re-connect my line at the local exchange box. If only their call centre staff were even half as competent. Now time to catch up.
