CLS KC-10/DC-10

Post by MIKE JG »

Nice aircraft model, it was a bit pricey though. Systems are very accurately modeled and it handles like a KC-10 should, or how I would imagine an aircraft that size would handle. The package comes with no less than 10 different aircraft models from the basic DC-10 to the KC-10 to the DC-10 freighter series. Many many different textures are included representing the great history of this aircraft. It took nearly an hour to download via broadband, the initial download which does not include the liveries, is nearly 400 MB!

Here's the same model put into a composite edited shot. This one has some motion and heat blur from the engines as well.

Suprisingly good as a matter of fact. Not as bad as say the PMDG 747 or 737 models. The VC is fairly simple since the thing is mostly steam guages and not all glass like a 737NG. So the frames stay pretty playable.

Mike,

Does it come in a CD version, I'm living in the Jurassic Park era. I just have dial up. Nothing like 5 to 6 kbs sec.

Yup, in fact you wouldn't even have to wait much longer than I did. I ordered the direct download version late Monday night here in the U.S. and I just got the download link this AM finally after sending an email inquiry to SimMarket asking them "Where's my model?". They replied that PayPal hadn't sent them my echeck yet and so they couldn't provide the link until it cleared. Funny that the money came out of my bank account on Tuesday, the morning after I ordered it. Yet it took an email from me to SimMarket and then magically my funds cleared and they gave me the link, 4 days later mind you. So they say about 2 1/2 weeks to get the CD version if you want it via CD. I've never had issues with SimMarket before so this whole time was kinda weird. I've also never had to wait more than a day to get a download. Who knows.
