canopy?

Post by mins »

Hello

This is the model I'm making these days.

But I don't like the canopy.

How can I make a canopy that is shiny and fluttering like a wave?

Do I have to make the 3d model from scratch?

Or is there a special material input value?

Thank you.

I'm assuming this is FS9 Mins. Have you added a reflective (Specular) Material in Gmax and are reflections switched on in the sim?

These are the settings I'm using for the Gazelle:

The alpha channel also controls how transparent and glossy the glass is.

The settings for FSX and P3D are much more complicated, but I can let you have those if you need them.

Dear John.

How are you doing?

Thank you for your quick and kind reply.

That's right. It's FS9.

I use FSDS. Modifying to various input values.

Always be healthy and take care.

Although it's late, Happy New Year.

Hello mins,
although your canopy glass looks great here are the values I have used for my ORAO model.
Don't forget that in your paintkit you have to make square usually black with alpha chanell as well to get that glossy look.
I would really really like to see this one published as it is one of airplanes I wanted to make long ago . I believe many of us are waiting to see it in our simulators.

cheers
