Merge object function in ModelConverterX

Post by TheFoufure »

Hello,

I have version 1.6 of ModelconvertX.

As an experiment, I'm trying to test the "merge" function.

So I import an airplane model. I want to add antennas to it which are in an MDL file.

Only, I can't see the MDL added. Do I have to specify the XYZ axes before, or can I modify them after and see the object position itself according to the given value?

So, I've done some antennas and compilte them in FS2004 aircraft mdl file.
I would like to add them to another FS2004 aircraft MDL file using the merge function.

Thanks for your help.

They should merge at the same location the mdl file has them at.

For eg....
I use this a lot to import different weapons onto a base model.
I will click the Merge Objects button
Set the value for '"Insert model as LOD"
Then click "Load Object"
Depending on what format the mdl is I might get a pop-up to 'Set condition variables'
I just click 'Set'
Then finally the 'Merge' button on the Merge Objects window.
They should show up at the LOD you entered with the '"Insert model as LOD" you entered.

Good morning,

In the meantime, I managed to combine my 2 models.

The base model is an FS2004 aircraft. The 2nd model contains just antennas (also in MDL FS2004 format).

The end result is perfect, the 2 models go well together, perfectly positioned.

Now I have a problem compiling to FS2004 format. There are errors and the file does not compile.

And honestly, I'm a little lost.

The obvious question here is what are the errors?
If you post the txt file here then somebody will probably be able to point you in the right direction.
