Well, I've recently started a project to make a KBT F/A-18E/F CAG and line bird skin for every single superbug squadron in the Navy. I figured that a USN scenery would be a nice companion to it. ...but since it's UKMIL, a bunch of RAF airfields are taking priority right now. So it's now up to me to get people who can make this scenery; it's more of a collaborative thing that I'm organizing than a UKMIL project.
What I've planned is Norfolk NS as a main base, plus Mayport NS and Earle NWS for AI ships to go to - AI ships of the whole Atlantic fleet. One of our modelers is beginning work on AI ship models and will make an Enterprise, Nimitzes, Ticonderoga, Burke, Perry, Los Angeles, Ohio, Tarawa and Wasp for this project. We're going to need help with making flight dynamics, AFCADs, and flightplans for these ships, as we've never done it before, but that's getting way ahead of ourselves.
What I'm most concerned about at the moment is finding someone who can make photoreal scenery for these areas. It's also important to change the shoreline so that the AI ships can maneuver more freely. I know how to do object placement, and can add default FS scenery objects over the photoscenery, but we need that finished before anything else can be started.
So... anyone willing to assist?

Wow, photoreal scenery and changing the shorelines that's a huge task, Mike. Terrain making is an area that I don't think anybody here has even attempted but I could be wrong.
As for the photoreal scenery, I can't help but there maybe somebody that might be able to help here.
Sorry that I can't be of more use.

Mike that's quite an ambitious project you've got going there. Good luck, unfortunately there seems to be very few of us working on military scenery. I can tell you from working on it myself, it will take way longer than you think it will. Just keep that in mind. Also creating all those AI ships probably is going to take a while as well.
In my experience, the smaller the project, the better. Or try to break it up into pieces.
Here's a thread I started over a year ago when I was playing around with AI boats: http://www.militaryaiworks.com/forum/vi ... sc&start=0
Check it out as it might have some useful information for you.
As far as afcads, effects, FDE's etc. related to AI boats you should try over at FSShipyards. Those guys, if they are still around could really be helpful. Heck they may even lend you a good ship FDE to use for the AI boats.
Either way, keep us updated on the progress. I would love to see someone carry this to the end.
