sorry to post so much but I installed a bunch of Maiw packages and upon starting fsx a pop up informs me that in my AI_Folder there are multiple objects with the same name.
so I go into that folder and delete that plane restart fsx and its ok.
by me deleting a duplicate object am I leaving one of them so I'll see the planes or am I doing something wrong.
so far about ten objects deleted but not wipped off hd.
is this normal and am I still getting to see all packages
thanks very much for any help.

CLosest thing similar to that description for me is when I have had WOAI updates installed and wind up with identical names in the aircraft.cfg files.
This happens when WOAI appends the update rather than rewriting the cfg by replacing existing entries.
The solution is tedious but simple... Note the error message(s), then go into that particular aircraft folder and edit the cfg file(s).

well thank you very much .
you are correct it was tedious but was able to do as you noted and upon starting fsx no more duplicate objects.
infact by deleting some of them I ended up taking planes out so you helped me
I guess Maiw and woai is for fs9 and fs2004 more since not many people are using fsx.
but these packages are making fsx much better then my traffic
again thanks for the help.

I think the guys at WOAI have a way to install directly to FSX but I am not sure. Ours, of course, are not though there is a lot if user support on the board for those that do use our packages in FSX.
