Jumpshot724 AFCAD Thread

Post by reconmercs »

Joe "Jumpshot724" requested a thread that he could use to post his AFCADs that everyone has been asking about lately and being a part of the MAIW team does have its benefits, so here it is

Nellis AFB V1.0 (KLSV)
Nellis AFB V1.1 (KLSV)

To receive one of these, simply PM me with an email address to send them. I've toyed with posting these to AVSIM or Flightsim but for as of now I'm only sending them out on a request basis.

NOTE: All of the parking codes used are in order to support MAIW packages (duh) as well as those of Ultimate Traffic (for commercial airports). Obviously if you've changed parking codes from their defaults do not expect aircraft to park accordingly.

All AFCADs created utilizing "AFX" by FlightOne for initial placement and structuring, and "AFCAD" by Lee Swordy for final cosmetic work.

NOTE: I tend to be kind of "slow" in sending out the files. I apologize for this, so if you really really want the file(s) asap and you haven't heard from me in a week, send me another PM with something along the lines of "Hurry up you jerk" lol. Sorry for any inconvenience, but if you don't hassle me you might wait up to a month for me to realize "Oh crap, I never sent that to so-and-so!!!!"

Enjoy!!!! :D 8)

Is it possible that you could pack all of the above into a single zip file, with a date indicating when it was current. It is simple enough to add new files to the pack and then rename with a new date of currency (currentness, whatever?).

Also, are all of these made with AFCAD, or are any/all made with AFX, or availabe as AFX files?

Just a suggestion!

Yea I can do that but people may not want all of them, also I inlcude Before and After JPegs as well as a readme with installation instructions and a brief history/information about each place so, can it be done yes but the .zip would have a lot more than just the AF2 files and would probably be "messy" 8)

Why would it be messy?

By including all the files, the person can simply choose what (s)he wants to include in their setup and doesn't have to deal with either asking you for multiple files or just dealing with multiple downloads.

Should you choose to include photos and such you simply create folders for all that. For example, in the Nellis Folder you would just put all the jpgs, the readme pertaining to installation and history as well as the actual AFCAD(s) and exclude(s) and do the same for every other location.

The fly in the ointment is the jpegs which will be larger by far than the AFCAD, however, it would take a lot of separate files to cause the zip package to be too large to conviently transfer, and is not really a problem as I see it. Also, a single zip is so convient, that the fact that it may contain files not wanted is really unimportant - just unzip and delete what you don't want.

In the end, I'm thinking it will be so much easier for you to send one zip file per requester rather than numberous files to each requester, and you don't have to find the specific files, just send the most recent zip package.

Up to you, but you should make it easy on yourself, and users shouldn't be lazy, considering what they are getting for nothing more than a 'thank you'.

How can I get that AFCAD for Gary Widup's Salt Lake City scenery? Should I PM you my email address? Or you post the file in this thread?

I'm still awaiting permission from him to release it, since he did most of the work and I just added to it (mostly the ANG apron and edited the airport-side parking)

When I do get an approval from him I will post it in my first post in this thread and you can PM me with an email address for it.

Check back :D

EDIT: List has been updated, FRF Studios gave me a thumbs up. Also I made some changes to my Nellis, added some parking codes and did some cosmetic work to clean it up a bit.

Can you send me your AFCAD for Westhampton-The Gabreski V1.0 (KFOK)? That base is about a half hour from where I live. I didn't realize you made a AFCAD for that airport.

If you can send it to me I will PM you with my email address.

Nellis AFB 1.2 now available

Update includes parking spots/codes for the new AH-64 Apache and CH-47 Chinook packages (though I can't guarantee the package developers made Nellis inclusive flightplans with those packages lol)

Hello All

Just a quick question, I am looking for a good AFCAD for Ramstein AB in Germany with both runways 08-26 and 09-27.

I hope someone can help me out.

LIST UPDATED February 5, 2009

Tucson International airport now available.

Parking and codes for the AZ ANG (HUGE presence here, LOTS of F-16s if you have the "SW ANG" Package  ) as well as for GA and the airline terminal.

This one is a work in progress, but for now just wanted to get the F-16s to stop parking all over the place lol. Stay tuned for more refined releases

LIST UPDATED March 13, 2009

I recently did a complete re-install of MSFS, and unfortunately I forgot to save some of my AFCADs before the mass deletion. FORTUNATELY, it seems that the only one that is on this list lost was McConnell AFB. However, there were a few other "works in progress" so, all well. That being said it may be a while before a new release.

Now for the embarrassing part lol. If I have sent ANYONE the McConnell AFB AFCAD, could you please send a copy back to me to re-offer and continue to update from.... :(

Vincent,
I am currently working on a scenery package for Ramstein. I have done 99% of the AFCAD but to use it would also require the flattens and excludes, so I don't really want to release the unfinished product piece by piece. I don't know of any other present day AFCAD.
