Ridiculous.

I actually do have FSX (got it for Christmas when it first came out). Problem is my machine can't handle it, I installed it on the family computer during Christmas break from college but that's the extent to which I played it, uninstalled it right before I left to go back. Next machine I get though, hopefully FSX will have been around long enough where more add-ons will be available. Only about another 2-3 years before I'm due for an upgrade :D

My understanding from some time ago is that they have prioritized FSX development and release over that of FS9. This product was previewed and announced months ago and I've been sporatically following its development, beta-previews and forum screenshots, etc. Definitely nice eye candy, but I'm not sure it's worth it for me.

But it'll be an interesting release for some people.

I'm thinking you'll need a high end system to run it on. Those cloud textures are probably frame rate hogs. That's a high end system for FSX. Most of us don't even have a system that will run basic FSX.
