I am updating my MAIW to FSX Installation Guide. One thing I like to add is a compilation of the most important corrections you have to apply to the default MAIW installations. I am talking about overwritten [fltsim.x] sections caused by the old installer, missing or misspelled texture entries and things like this.

Please have a look at this PDF document. I would appreciate your feedback if I missed something or made an error in the list.
