Question: On the A-4G, I noticed Grahame King has repaints for the Singapore Air Force A-4SU. The model is fitted with wing tanks and weapons. I only have the clean model which was included in the Miramar package, is the extented model available.
The reason why I ask is because I'm currently doing some repaints for Nicks A-4G and would like to make the repaints complete to the MAIW high standands.

NBAI A-4G extended model
Hi Mark,
The reason is that Nick has done an armed Skyhawk for an as yet unfinished package. That is why you haven't seen it. Graham has it for paint testing.
I have taken a look at the Miramar schemes and it actually includes the tanks in the scheme so you will be including them for your A-4G schemes once you have the model. The weapons will be contained on one of the MAIW Weapons bmps, that you will have in global textures, and that will be called for by the model.
Now as for the model itself. I do not know whether Nick has agreed to release it with the package itself or just hasn't gotten around to releasing it. I think that here we shall have to wait for Nick himself to give a reply here.

Thanks for the info Steve. I look forward to seeing Nick's release of this lovely model. I wish I could fly it, if only once.

Here is second repaint scheme, displaying a photo real tail. I may also do a plain painted tail for those that prefer it that way.
I had a few issues with the paint colours as all reference material is very old and colours were washed in most of them so this is the closest that I could average on.

Yes the A-4 you've seen on Grahams Website is a model that was produced specifically for someone at MAIW for a package they are working on. I never really intended to release the A-4 as anything more than purely for use with the TopGun package which is why I never got around to any more loadouts etc. Who knows when I get some time together I may end up with enough to re-visit the A-4 and produce some more loadouts and models, but for the time being don't hold your breath, as currently it looks like I wont have time for anything until at least August. We'll see though.
Lovely paint schemes, keep them coming.

Thanks for getting back to me Nick.
The Royal Australian Navy was good at changing there paint schemes from year to year so there are many to be done. Each repaint is getting more and more detail as I find better photo's and colours and are also getting much closer to real tones.
The A-4 will certainly attract a lot of attention from Aussie simmers, particularily those that perform aircraft carrier landings. New Zealand also have A-4's that visit OZ, and along with nearby nations that come to Australia to train in exercises, we still see them from time to time.
Thank you Nick for a lovely model and I dearly hope you can find time to extend the family.
Best regards,
Mark

Hi friends,
Two of my repaints are now on Avsim.com ready for download. There seems to be a bit of interest in them with around 200 downloads in just a few hours of them appearing on the site.
Thanks again to Nick who makes it all possible.
Below are two present zip files to search:
nbai_a-4gskyhawk_ran_880.zip
nbai_a-4gskyhawk_ran_872.zip
More repaints are on there way or in progress.
