Hello all...
I keep getting a CTD with no error messages or logged events when using FS9.
I have an Acer Aspire 6930 that came with Vista, but I re-formatted the works and put XP Home with SP3 on it. All drivers current.
Flight was KHOP to KSLC using a IFR flightplan and static real world weather. All other apps shutdown except for an open internet dial-up connection. Roughly 20 minutes into flight FS9 just disappeared with no messages or events logged. Very frustrating as this has happened a couple of times in the past month or so.
The only major modification to my FS9 setup is the use of a NOCD crack of the FS9.exe.
I have also checked HDD integrity, Hardware temperatures, etc...
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
CTD Problem...Any Ideas
Oops...
I think I figured it out...there was an event reported but, I missed it at first glance.
Turns out it was a paging error. I had, for some unknown reason, set my paging file to a custom size (2MB - 4MB). Changed setting to system controlled and voila...all is well (fingers crossed...).
Thanks Dan...I was dreading that it might be a texture problem or other add-on as I have been re-loading all of my stuff onto this new laptop and with almost 100GB of FS9 stuff alone it would be a nightmare to figure something like that out.

That's useful info to know, although I am surprised at the crashes with me I find that I get a temporary lock up followed by a complete reload of all the textures, but maybe its a graphics handling thing.
