On another forum somebody had asked if there was a tool that would convert flightplans from FSX to FS9. I know there are plenty of tools out there to go from FS9 to FSX but I haven't heard of any for the other way.
So since this got my curiosity going I started looking around and haven't found anything yet and now I am going to ask the resident FSX expert (Ford) if he has heard anything like that. Now I don't know why somebody would want to go back to FS9 if they are using FSX already.
Thanks
Les
Converting FSX flightplans back to FS9

Now I don't know why somebody would want to go back to FS9 if they are using FSX already.

Maybe some day...

BTW, I'm glad you brought this up because there are probably some things being developed for FSX that are not available for FS9

Jake,
My desktop rig runs like your laptop I guess. I have FSX deluxe and my FPS is like anywhere from 1-10 depending on what's going on. 1 at the terminal, on approach and takeoff and 10 once at altitude. So I stick with FS9 I can get 25 FPS everywhere. my sons cpu runs both perfectly but he bought one of those fancy Core2's. I am still in the dark ages (PC is 3 yrs old) with a celeron D

Hardly.
OTOH, no I haven't heard of a direct conversion program. IF you're talking about going from the MSFSX "new" fp format (bgls created according to FSX Traffic Database Builder standards) back to the FS9 format (bgls like those created by ttools), then afaik it's a matter of manually decompiling - try bglanalyze - and then recompiling). But if you're ONLY talking about adjusting for the difference in airport ICAO's and day of the week numbering, then there are 2 or 3 utilities - FP_FS9_FSX and the other one I've used slips my mind right now. (What FP_FS9_FSX actually produces is an FS9-compliant bgl, not an FSX-TDB compliant bgl.)
Why waste 'trons for a snappy signature when I can use this?
