What to do with an old graphics card

Post by MIKE JG »

Been meaning to ask this for a while. Does anyone recylce hardware such as an old, barely working NVidia graphics card? I hate to add a circuit board like that to a landfill, it'll still be there long after I've left the Earth.

Any suggestions for something other than putting it in the trash??

In our county here in Illinois, we have an electonic recycle once a month. Tons of computers, stereos, cards, drives, etc are recycled. You might want to check with your county to see if there is a recycle program or maybe recycle centers fairly near you that would accept the material.

I have personaly gotten rid of all my old computers, tv's, stereo's and components over the last few years. Before I retired, working in the electronics industry, we used to recycle our own components, solder. The silver/gold alone was worth the program.

Good luck,
Rick
