Takes about 30 minutes. First few pages generic. This will give you an idea of where MS is thinking of going. Enough good surveys could preserve the future of FS.

Well, it is that they a) think of Flight Sim as strictly a game rather than a simulation, and b) this game can be a higher revenue stream if access to the game is via online subscription instead of selling individual copies.
However, it seems, from the questions, that they are open to preserving the same experience as was available in the past. Perhaps addons (freeware and payware) would be supported (I don't know how, just pay attention to the questions) and a generally improved experience can be offered via updates, fixes and tweeks applied by MS technicians etc. There are possibilities, but only if we make our desires known with great passion.
Of course, you can always just stay PO'd at MS, ignore their request for input and be prepared to accept Austin Myers vision of flightsim.
