Ørland and Bodø

Post by davidbernard »

After Andoya (ENAN) I started working on Ørland and Bodø main air stations of the RNoAF. Here are some pics of Ørland, which is almost done.

I have added 338 Skv F-16 traffic and discovered some interesting MAIW visitors (NATO Sentry and German Phantoms) :-)

After this on to Bodø.

I was all set to do an MAIW Norwegian package....had flightplans, repaints, vpcmodes...everything. I couldn't get the Bodo airport right, though. There was a part of the taxiway that ran into the water and at the time, I couldn't do anything about it. It just killed the entire project for me!

So, I am glad to see Norway getting some love.

Hmm, well hopefully the new Bodo afcad will not run into the same problems-if it doesn't, then a Norway MAIW package would be brilliant (that said, I am not hurrying anyone of course!). This project is looking good-keep it up.

Well, it was two years ago and all of the files were deleted so I wouldn't hold my breath :)

The Ørland package can be downloaded here: http://sites.google.com/site/davidberna ... e/download.

Two RNoAF C-130J-30 repaints and flightplans are included as a bonus ;-)

Again: tell me what you think. Enjoy!

I've checked both Andoya and Orland, both installed alongside with the Norway Airports scenery. Both very nice!
I also found some German Phantoms and RAF Tornadoes there, seems a nice place for spotting.
I have no idea about the real places, but the hangars are. Looking forward to see Bodo, there seems to be an elevation problem with the above mentioned scenery! Are you going to include plans for the F-16s as well? :D

I Have problem with the installation of the Ørland.
When i have removed the Ørland from the Norwigian package i can't get the, runway to show or the taxiway to show in the Enol package.
The only thing is the buildings, and the grass.

Help?

Have you installed MAIW's scenery library?

Question, I have Ørland and Bodø airports as part of a Noway airpots scenery package. Are your airports improvment on those? Or just new AFCADs?

Orland (or Andoya?) is totally missing from the Norwegian Airport scenery...

First check out if you have removed all the mentioned files from the Norwegian Airports package. Don't delete them, you might want to save them in case you want to restore ENOL from their package.

Otherwise it might be the order of your Addon scenery folders?

To rule this out try this:

Create a folder \Addon scenery\ENOL\Scenery and copy the file ENOL_Objects.bgl to this location.
Create a folder \Addon scenery\ENOL_Flatten\Scenery and copy the files ENOL_Flatten.bgl to this location.

Then copy the file AFX_ENOL_DJB.bgl to \Addon scenery\Scenery

Now make sure that you add the ENOL folder to you scenery library with a higher priority than Addon Scenery.
The ENOL_Flatten folder goes right below the ENOL folder, also with a higher priority than Addon scenery.

It should look like this:

ENOL
ENOL_Flatten
<Other Addon scenery folders>
Addon Scenery

Restart FS9 and try again...
