Ai Models in FSRecorder

I use FSRecorder to create and replay my own traffic. Basically they are just recordings for fun, but when I get too many flying together, the frame rate obviously suffers. So I switch the aircraft out for an MAIW model which lowers the frame rate but creates its own issues.
FSRecorder records control surfaces, flaps, gear, lights, main exit, smoke, spoiler etc.
My problem is when I fly the flightplan with ... say, the Kirk Olsen F-16 using flaps and lights like usual, then switch it with an ai model, it acts strangely.
I'm having trouble decyphering the models. So far, I can tell in the ai F-16, lights on will open and immediately close the canopy, turn on the lights and make surrounding generators and ladders and so on disappear. When I do the same thing with the F-15, the canopy stays open and I can't seem to figure out how to close it. Also, the afterburner in the F-15 turns on with the thrust a 0% but not 100% ... odd. I did figure out the spoiler automatically deploys when the flaps are down below a certain altitude. Got that from watching them in regular flight plans.
If you can offer any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Could save me a lot of headaches.
Thanks,
~Josh
