EditVoicePack files in FSX?

Post by Grape »

I just downloaded Editvoicepack X and was attempting to use the voicepacks in the MAIW packages without success so far. Can this be done and if so how?

Yes, those voicepaks can be used. You have to import them, but have to make sure under "Files of Type" you check the Edit Voicepak 3 Mod (*vcpmod) not the "Edit voicepak X Mod (*evpmod).

Thank you Rick.

After updating I get these error messages.

From Great Lakes ANG Part 1
Files not imported:
Range 1.vcpmod (GB01): Missing sound segments for voice Pilot 3 (male)

From Hurlburt Field
Files not imported:
SPOOKY.vcpmod (SPOOKY): A sound segment is not compatible with this version of Flight Simulator.

Is there a way to fix these errors?

Also after each update this message is at the bottom of the list. How do you check each voice?
Please check each voice of the modifications for errors.
The sounds they where originally constructed from might have changed.

Yes they can be fixed. You can create your own voices paks. Information is in the manual.

That being said, I reported the Range 1 error in the Great Lakes Air National Guard Part 1 and Part 2 by MAIW Support thread, and if you go down to page 2 of that thread you will see a Range 1.zip by Steve that corrects that error.

As to SPOOKY, if you send me a PM with your email address, I will send you my copy of the SPOOKY.evpmod to import.
