RAF Sentinal / Astor

Post by DaleRFU »

Hi everyone.

Last thursday, Me and my dad where invited to go and look around 5sqn at RAF waddington to veiw the lightning (AA) that they have on display as my dad used to work on her for years. We then also got a tour around the squadron as it is now. We where shown around by one of the pilots. He told us stuff on where they go (nothing to secret tho). When I returned home i wanted some flying around in my sim. Unfortunatly there is no GOOD AI version that has the radar on it, but i found the same aircraft that they use (Bombardier BD-700 Global Express) so i decided to use that

Yeah, it's much better than nothing - until someone decides to make an AI model for the Sentinel...

It would be nice to actually get all the little blighters painted up and on the Global Express model before they all disappear.

I did those repaints (My First) For that aircraft,

Unfortunatley they are on my set up in the UK and i will not see that set up until at least May due to me going to our home abroad. When I get home I will dig them out for you. Unless someone else does them

I had a look at that UKMIL model and it really needs a nice paint kit. Those photo textures are a bit hard on my eyes.
Got the FP, thanks for the heads up.

Aren't the Sentinals due for an early, unfortunate retirement? I believe I read they were being axed as a £ saving measure by the MOD.
