Question for Mike JG

Post by hawkeye52 »

Thank you for your excellent tutorial on modifying stock airports; it is EXACTLY what I need!

I have a problem which I hope has a simple solution: I cannot get SBuilder to link (interact) with FS9.

I have FSUIPC installed in Modules [AFCAD links perfectly with FS9]. I tried all SBuilder's tabs, options, etc. but the + will not move.

Any suggestions?

While you are trying this, you have FS9 running correct? Also you have the option "Show Aircraft" checked on under the "View" pull down menu?

Know that the "+" will not move in Sbuilder unless you are moving or slewing in FS9 at the same time. You cannot physically move the "+" in Sbuilder, you have to move your FS9 position.

Thanks for replying, Mike.

I should have been clearer, but the answer to ALL your questions is YES. As I slew the a/c in FS9 (top-down view) the + in SB does not move.

I seem to remember that I had the same thing. What you have to do is zoom in, a lot, as the cross is moving but you are so far out from it that it looks stationary.

Try that. It confused me for a bit.

The + always stays centered on the screen, but the field of view moves.
