Hi guys!
I was going to set up some Hornets traffic on Nimitz, after I done and went to test it, when I on the carrier, came small window said "Runtime Error". It can't be closed by clicking "X", I have to close it via Task Manager. I tried disable the hornets, It works fine. This happen on all nick's Hornet. I tried to re-install all packages(Lemoore, Atsugi, Beaufort, Finnish, and Reserve Hornets) because I thought the error is caused by a missing fx file, but no luck, still gave me the same error.
Please, help me
MOD EDIT: Changed title.
Runtime Error?
Runtime Error?

Re: Nick's Hornet Runtime Error?
Sounds like the Hornet burner is causing a problem. Are you using the one that came with the model or another one? Have you added any effects to the Hornet.
Basically, non-AI built effects will cause this, normally when somebody uses a burner effect transferred from another model.

Hi Steve! Thanks for the assistance. I gave up on Nick's hornet. But one time, I want to fly from Schipol, after the loading completed, it gave me the same error. It looks like spreading to other AI aircrafts (AIA, DJC, AIG, etc). It looks like something's wrong with my effect files, probably the default effects files?
Maybe you can move this thread to somewhere else because it doesn't talk about Nick's hornet anymore.

Re: Nick's Hornet Runtime Error?
Hi Pixy, I don't think that its a problem with one of your default effect unless you have altered one.
The thing about AI effects is that the cause of the problem need not be where you are. It can be up to 100nm away, it depends upon the grid area that you are currently in.
To give you an idea when I was testing the Lakenheath package I was getting constant errors, always at the same time of day. It turned out to be a problem with the burner effect I had on a Jaguar at Coltishall. It can really be a pain to pick it up, another time I had a problem with AI shipping (smoke).
My guess is that you have added either a non-ai burner or a non-ai smoke effect to an aircraft, probably to improve the look, and this is causing the problem. I realise that I am making an assumption that there is only one problem.
Where is the Nimitz located? You know have two locations where the problem happens, there is a common link. Also check to see if you have used any flyable aircraft as AI, as most people normally leave the flyable effects on the aircraft and this can cause the problem. The more locations that you have the easier to diagnose the problem. Remember that the cause maybe a visitor not a resident.
I would start with all the aircraft that you have modified yourself. You might find it useful to use the traffic toolbox that MS provides to get a list of everything in the area. If you have a complete list of what was active in your zone when it gets the error it might be very quick to find.

Re: Nick's Hornet Runtime Error?[SOLVED]
Hi Steve!
The problem solved! It turns out that the traffic toolbox is the culprit, after I removed the .dlls, everything is working very, very fine.
Thank you very much Steve!

Re: Nick's Hornet Runtime Error?
I am glad it is fixed but it does sound like a dll got corrupted there. Maybe if you download and re-install it the problem will have disappeared. If not at least it will be easy to fix.
