I just found out that I have 3 different F-15's on my system - one from ACG, one from KRAI and one from NBAI.
Which of those is suited for P3D v. 5?
I tend to say the KRAI one, and definitely not the NBAI, as the NBAI model files seem to date from 2007....

F-15 model to use in P3D v. 5
Re: F-15 model to use in P3D v. 5
You need native FSX/P3D models, FS9 ones will not show correctly. A simple way to verify the model .MDL files is to open them with a text editor like Notepad ++ and check the 1st line for the format string:
MDL8MDLH = FS9, cannot be used in P3Dv5
MDLXMDLH = FSX
PV20MDLH = P3Dv2-3
PV44MDLH = P3Dv4.4 and higher
The last 3 formats are good to go in P3Dv5.
There are FSX/P3D versions of the ACG JYAI and KRAI models, not (yet) for the NBAI models (NBAI A/B/C/D package is currently in conversion).

I was just about to write that I partially answered my own question, as I have a KRAI F-15 conversion pack...
Thanks, and good to hear that a NBAI conversion pack is coming!

Good to know; I thought NBAI had been abandoned since JYAI and KRAI filled the gaps... In fact the only F-15s I could actively think of that were missing such as MA ANG have been or seem to be getting painted on to the JYAI aircraft...

or another easy way is to use the OWL AI Aircraft Editor (great tool!) and just look at the "general" tab.hschuit wrote: ↑07 May 2022, 07:25 You need native FSX/P3D models, FS9 ones will not show correctly.
