John Young - Convair B-36 Peacemaker

Post by gsnde »

John really did me a great favor when he released the Peacemaker - maybe he thought it was the only way to stop me from telling him what a wonderful project that would be. And I must say it makes me very happy to see how well appreciated this release has been welcomed in the respective thread.

I felt that I ought to John some good pictures of the B-36. Due to time restrains from work I am pretty much out of training and when I saw the release note I was just about to finish my brand new flightsim computer. In fact the B-36 was the very first AI I set to the sky on this computer.

I hope the shots do the model good. At least chance was with me - I was rewarded with a spectacular and rare sight on Jan Mayen - see the last shot.....

Dear John - thanks again... :smt001

Very nice screen shots Martin. They really do justice to the aircraft. As you say, it is really quite graceful, despite it's size.

After seeing those screenshots I'm tempted to get P3D. They look fantastic Martin ✌️

Thank you, Giorgio, John and Pete!

It is always said that P3D is all CPU - much more than GPU. I believed that for once, bit the bullet and invested into an i7-7700K when building my new box. The graphic card is still my old nVidia GTX 970. What you see is P3D with OrbX and REX.

It works most beautifully!
Cheers,
Martin

I would start it up more frequently Martin. You always produce nice moody screen shots which are a pleasure to see.
