Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...

My hope is that all of the work, all of the modelling, all of the months and months of struggle to get little details correct doesn't go to waste by having to re-model everything all over again.

Re: A brand new MS Flight Simulator is coming...

I'm certainly impressed by the methods they are employing for flight physics modelling, essentially a 1000% increase in the data sampling for aerodynamic modelling. Also very impressed with their scenery modelling and rendering, rendering structures in real time based on Bing data streamed real time...

Re: Desert Falcons

LOL! You don't owe me anything. I'm still basking in the glory of our Champions League Title! Anyways, I don't have any reservations any longer with converting the files. At this point I don't see myself ever getting back to them. I have started construction on my real world Vans RV-8 aircraft and t...

Re: Thoughts on the next project

I'm sure everyone would appreciate a new version of the EF2000/Typhoon.

Nick's model is a very early version that by today's standards is quite basic.

I'm kinda itching to do the Boeing/SAAB T-X one of these days.... I know, I know, back to the Vipers..... :smt021

Re: Desert Falcons

We'll see. I log in here now about once or twice a month, that's my level of activity these days as real life just has me too busy to entertain any of this right now. But here's the thing, what sim should this model be converted for?? Is it worth waiting to see what sort of phoenix that MS comes up ...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

I'd like to think that this amazing screenshot is the culmination of over a decade of trial and error with this flight simulator series and it is truly amazing from many aspects, the scenery, the models, the environment, the planning and execution. It's all there in this one shot. Bravo John! Makes ...

Re: MAIW MGAI Boeing xC-135 Family Conversion Support

The refueling .air files are set up so that the aircraft doesn't exceed about 250kts at cruise which allows you to catch up to them fairly easily for air to air refueling. The non-refueling .air files allow them to fly at their normal cruising speeds for going from A to B. Does that mean that refue...

Re: Holloman Vipers

Both. And I just realized by re-reading that thread about them that it only affects the D models. So I'll put them together for release, all of them and if people want they can just fix the D model textures which is only 13 total textures, each requiring about a 1x10 stripe of pixels along the nosec...

Re: Holloman Vipers

I have them courtesy of Mark Heimer but they need a fix to look correct on the model. Maybe we should release them without the fix (which is very minor). We have Bk42 specific AETC F-16 models for Holloman.

https://i.postimg.cc/dt5qrgwT/ZZ664-RC-135-W-RAF-Mildenhall-2016-4.jpg See the round sat dome on the aft of the fuselage. Also notice the large over the wing antennas are now gone on the new block models. The RAF got the newest versions and then the USAF has been retrofitting their's since then.
