Re: FlightRadar24
I love adsbexchange.com. When I'm working away at my PC and I hear a distinctive aircraft sound outside the window, I can just click an icon on my desktop to bring up the flight screen and usually identify the aircraft. I tracked a Chinook the other day from my house for about 50 miles. It was proba...

Re: JYAI Piaggio P-180 Avanti
Joe, Giorgio sent me a link to a sound set from a freeware flyable Avanti that I set up as soundai in FSX. The sound is so distinctive and very different to any turboprop I've heard before that I had to compare it with a you tube video to see if it is realistic. Having listened to both, I think it w...

Re: JYAI Piaggio P-180 Avanti
Not at the moment. The MPA is a prototype and I don't think has actually flown yet. The longer wings would play havoc with my texture sheet and I would only want to do that if it's worthwhile in terms of numbers. Let's wait and see what happens with orders.

JYAI Piaggio P-180 Avanti
My current project is in response to a request from Giorgio for some Piaggio P-180 Avanti's to go in a revamped scenery of Practica Di Mare that he has in mind. There are several interesting documents and videos about the aircraft on the net and they all make for interesting viewing. The shape of th...

Re: Beechcraft King Air 350 Specials
Sorry, I'm not going to re-size the windows. To do that would mean a corresponding change in the fuselage to match and a complete re-map of the fuselage, cockpit and internals. That would need doing for 4 of the LODs x 2 for FS9 and FSX. That's a lot of work. As I said before, I'm not into civilian ...

Paco, if "AIG Group" is the Alpha India Group, I don't have a log in and don't really want to set one up. Please post a screen shot here if you are seeking my permission for an upload. Please also tell me where you intend to post the repaint and revised model.

Re: Retro Air cadet action anyone?
Wolfgang Piper specialises in gliders for MSFS: http://www.fsglider.de/index.htm I have two versions of his Duo Discus gliders set up for AI. One acts conventionally and the other circles the airfield continuously. The .air and aircraft.cfg files obviously have the methodology if anyone is intereste...

Re: JYAI Beech 350/200 traffic files?
There are no flight plans for these examples included in the zip - the manual explains why. It's possible that other people here have produced some though.

Lovely screen shots. I think between us, we've really doing Justice to Japan. The upcoming F-16s at Misawa will be the cherry on the cake.

Re: JYAI P-8 Poseidon and B-737 AEW&C
This has involved a truly international effort with 9 people in different parts of the world contributing scenery, flight plans and call signs. Not everyone can work at the same pace, so with the aircraft all done and while I was waiting for components, I got on with other projects. This morning I f...

Dave, all of the tankers (KC--46A, KC-767A and KC-767J) will have their boom down between 17000 and 23000 ft.

Hartwig has done a great job updating the MAIW Patuxant River package, including accommodating the VX-1 and VX-20 P-8s: http://i588.photobucket.com/albums/ss323/Bitmap512/Poseidon%20and%20Wedgetail/Pax_zpslexfhdlv.jpg I have also done a quick swap of the aircraft from P-3s to P-8s in John Stinsom's ...

Re: Boeing 767 Military Derivatives
Thanks guys for the great feedback. I've asked Greg if he can amend the aircraft.cfg files in the zips with the change needed to [fltsim.10] to make it visible (see Giorgio's post). Sorry about that. Mike, thanks for the information on the drogues. I had thought about telescoping the hose sections b...

Re: Boeing 767 Military Derivatives
Mike, how did you coil a considerable length of hose into each pod and still produce a sag in the hoses when deployed? That sounds like a very difficult bone animation with a lot of polygons. I steered clear of that for my RAF Victors and just did a simple appear/disappear according to the altitude ...
