Germany will get three A330-200MRTT

The german government has ordered 3x A330-200MRTT for replacing older A310-300MRTT.

The order was already placed at the end of September 2019.

The news about the order was revealed last week.

Will these aircrafts join the other A330 MRTT based at Eindhoven and Koln (from Netherlands, Belgium, Luxemburg etc..) ?

I think they will go to Köln-Bonn.

By the way, the Netherland Airforce will get their first A330-200MRTT, soon.

Unfortunatly it would mean that the KDC-10 will be phased out in the near future.

The first KDC-10, T-264, already left the fleet to Omega Air (USA).

A new P3Dv4 KDC10 would be nice for the USAF versions

The second KDC-10 will be retired and sold to Omega aswell in 2021.

Omega is going to keep using them for refueling military aircrafts.

The german airforce wil use their A310 only as troop transporter.
They won t be used as Tanker again.
The A330-200MRTT will be used for refueling.
The german A332MRTT will be based in Köln-Bonn.
