When you are creating the fuselage of a military jet, would you model the fuselage with the cockpit or create the cockpit and the fuselage separately and merge them later?

When you are creating the fuselage of a military jet, would you model the fuselage with the cockpit or create the cockpit and the fuselage separately and merge them later?

It depends on the aircraft, sometimes it is easier to create the whole thing and then seperate the cockpit from the fuselage later, but other times it is easier to create the fuselage and then create the cockpit as it is generally a much more detailed part.
