That makes sense. I did think that maybe VRS specified DX10 but I don't know for sure so it is pure supposition. FS9 uses DX9 as well.

I stumbled across a forum post that mentioned if an aircraft was modified for FSX from a FS9 aircraft it sometimes happens. Could be VRS didn't build a pure FSX one, MS probably took a FS9 default model and modified it to FSX. The same with addons I got from Just Flight etc. The ones that were designed for FSX from the ground up work perfectly.
