I attempted to download the FSX version of the Wedgetail and was directed to the download for the FS9 version, when I clicked on the download for the FS9 version I was directed to the FSX download.

Can one of the administrators please correct this anomaly so that when the FSX version is required that the file downloaded is definitely the FSX version of that aircraft.

Could it be that you were confused by the last sentence in both descriptions, pointing to the respective other version?
