Traffic for copters (on skids)

I got lost in the forest
.
Does AI traffic for copters on skids needs different procedure? P3Dv5.
I took new Huey of mins:
https://militaryaiworks.com/forums/20/1 ... 85#p203985 .
I converted it to P3Dv5 with animations, transparent textures ect and its ok:
I set up test flight:
but I dont see this model
. If I do the same with aircraft, no problem. Any idea?
Btw. AI Huey is in Rotorcraft folder, but I think it isnt a problem, AI FP sees it.

Do you have parking spots large enough for the huey at both airfields?

I take old, FS9 MAIW Chinook, updated it to P3Dv5 and.... the same airfield it works:
So maybe something is wrong with this UH-1? Any idea?

I would do an error check on the huey with AI Aircraft Editor or equivalent at this point just in case there is a config issue.

Thx. Installed, but Im not sure its ok or not:
Edit. I noticed here no air file, but its present in the folder, will check again <--- ok, my foul, I see it now.
BUT I noticed that if will be the take off hour the copter (whole!) disappears suddenly.
Skids?

Ok, here is my conversion to P3Dv5 (just one model - take BOX version) for tests if someone wants to test it in the flight and start issue .... (removed, see below)

OK One glaring issue there is the massive red "AC Status NOK" box.
I also notice that you have quite a small window. If you were to extend the window on the right hand side you would find a "Show Aircraft Errors" button.
Pressing this will probably tell you the problem(s).
Now if there is no button there then you should upgrade to the latest version 3.3.33.0

Thx Steve.
So, I think you are talking about not AIAE but AIAE.NET version because I see info about "no update" for this my version what I took.
Ok, I take AIAE.NET-Setup (from MAIW website:
https://militaryaiworks.com/download-ha ... y/91-tools ) but here its unpacking error from Windows 10 and 7z/zip too wrrrr ....
Edited: links on Avsim works

How it looks with this (btw. great tool!):
I think now its ok, missing models are intentional but as I wrote, model disappears suddenly on ramp parking at start hour exactly (before start h it's present).

That's usually because the parking spot is not connected to the taxiway and the aircraft has nowhere to go and disappears. It's not a LOD issue because Mins doesn't use them.
John
PS: just tested in my P3Dv4.
I can see the Huey out as far as at least 5 miles, so no problem with the model.
The hover-taxi is working fine, but the take-off is quite long - more like a Stemme .air file than an animated lift, even a STOL one.

Thx John, I will look on this too.
Edit:
I think its ok, connected (I miss something here?). Huey appears in the middle position.
New updated for v5 version (box), I added pilots and boxes
(small problem with head of gunner - direction and animation so I removed it). Really nice job mins!
Link (WiP for tests):

(btw. I noticed small glitch with texture on the top, the arrow, will do in the next version).
Checked, looks like in model, hard coded (?):

I think that those panels are green tinted glass, in real life. Somebody with more knowledge on the aircraft will be able to confirm.

This is a test version. There is only 1LOD.I think it's too difficult to convert.
There is the simplest way. That's to ask for help from the Developer, Mins.
Mins has a source. Anything can be converted into that.

I don't think Mins knows how to create LODs, but I know designers here have tried to help him. I would also check that the long take-off run that I observed was as intended and if not, that the Hover-Taxi animation has actually been linked to the vertical lift.
