Germany orders 60x Chinook CH-47F

The german government has announced to order 60x CH-47F Chinooks as replacement for the CH-53G Stallions.

The order has a value of 5 billion Euro.

The CH-53K was also considered but refused because of the high price.
For the same order value they would get only 40x King Stallions.

The CH-53G will be replaced until 2030.

Yesterday, it was mentioned in the media that the german government has officially confirmed the order of 60x Chinooks.

The german CH-47F will also get inflight refuel capabilities.
