I do see this out these on simviation:

https://simviation.com/1/download-file? ... leId=60683

https://simviation.com/1/download-file? ... leId=61063

https://simviation.com/1/download-file? ... leId=50976

But they do not appear to be AI models... Not sure if any dedicated AI 46 models were ever made...

There are no AI model of CH-46.

This model is in the top 5 of The most wanted military AI aircraft poll, but never realised. (https://www.owlsnest.eu/poll.php)

Well... while it might take me a bit and be slightly lower on my list (right now I am working on some improvements to the GAI Hornet packs)... and was pursuing making a RAF Ark Royal R09 package to show case my carrier Phantoms with... I could examine the possibility of making an AI version of the Rory Kelley CH-46 (most likely single LOD); much like I did with the CH-53E.... Granted not sure how many repaints / squadrons are out there for the RKAI model or if any re-painters would jump onboard with me....

I found a flyable FSX CH-46 on Flightsim, made by Bob Chicilo, and converted that to P3D AI using the MCX 1.7 Test version.

For copyright reasons that is not something I can share, but the conversion is pretty straightforward, since I could do it.

The blurb says it is an updated version of the RKAI one for FS9, and it is found here:

https://www.flightsim.com/files/file/13 ... ht-update/

The original RKAI CH-46 for FS9 should be in this package:

https://www.flightsim.com/files/file/76 ... -ai-helos/

I am glad to see interest in the CH-46 for AI traffic. I recall using non-AI CH-46s in FSX many years ago. It made for exciting traffic at MCAS Miramar, Camp Pendleton and MCAS New River. I also had scattered Navy CH-46s at various locations.

Hmmm well I am looking at the readme for the ai_helos.zip I see it also includes the RKAI CH-53s as well... and while the readme does state:

"By Rob Nieuwenhoven and Holger Sandmann (c) May 2004

This file may only be uploaded to the following sites without our permission:

Aussim.com.au
Avsim.com
Flightsim.com
Hovercontrol.com
Projectai.com"

I also know that MAIW has gotten permission to share the RKAI Ch-53s on here... So it does beg the question does MAIW have some level of specific permission from Rory Kelly to share his work? And could the CH-46 be shared individually without the other stuff... as has been done here with the Ch-53s... Martin would know better about that than I... Also I see the RKAI model has been made flyable and shared well outside the websites mentioned above... such as on simviation...

I just now took a look at it beyond the readme and you are correct it does appear to be a "junk file".... Really it looks like all the authors did in this case was to make a folder framework for a bunch of other people's work, put it all in a common .zip with slightly modified aircraft.cfgs and a different .air file; then repost their collective .zip file with a readme containing a questionable copyright; and re-distribution restriction written into it that is also questionable... I am honestly not even sure what if anything these two authors did...

So I have taken a look at the Rory Kelly CH-46. I will say this it certainly has potential to be a good AI model; but will need some work in terms of animations and visibility conditions ect. Those which are stock to the model are not suitable for AI use... But I think I can make something cool with it and then ask Martin if MAIW would be willing to publish it...
