C-130B

Post by geoffj »

Hi,

Is there a combination of model/texture call that will produce a CLOSED C-130B using JYAI or HTAI versions?

many thanks,

Geoff

I only have the open model of the C-130B Geoff, but I can make a closed one for you quite easily. What texture(s) do you require (Squadron) and do you have the serials please?

Hi John,

Many thanks for your reply. The closed model would really add to the natural look of a flight line with a mixture of open and perhaps mostly closed airframes.

I already have 49 textures for your C-130B model and the only one I have not been able to find or add a serial to myself so far is the retro Hellenic Air Force serial 723 in the camo scheme but that is a big ask, only available in the grey scheme on your model as far as I can see.

kind regards,

Geoff

I'll provide you with the closed model Geoff, but the camo paint might be more of a problem. I have only searched for a few minutes, but I couldn't find a camo pattern to work from. I thought I might be able to use the shapes from my RAF C-130K, but they are completely different.

If you want to see what you can find that might be useful.

There is a repaint on the HTAI C-130E model but that does not have a no tanks option.

Happy to have a go at 723 if you want.

So, you just need the C-130B Closed model from me then?

Geoff, the closed model is attached. I haven't tested it in FSX, but let me know if you spot anything that needs changing.

If you are intending to distribute a package, then please feel free to include the model in your upload.

Finally managed to finish it...

FS9 and FSX (1024/2048) textures.
Just needs the relevant models

If it's OK I'll load up to the library.

Hi Jim,

Many thanks for this. I think the texture names for the .dds files need to be JYAI_C-130H_t.dds and C-130H_props.dds, same as your .bmp files.

All the best,

Geoff
