I have this scenery of Catania Italy (LICC) for P3Dv5.4. Does anyone have a helicopter AFCAD for it?

It is home base for the Italian Navy's 2° Gruppo Elicotteri and 3° Gruppo Elicotteri helicopters. The base is separate from the main civil airport, and it is not connected to the main airport with any taxiways.

I would like to get the AI helicopters I have parking there and using the base correct, but I don't know how to do that.

Speaking for my own overlay, it will not look pretty next to your purchased scenery. It includes a single flatten file which covers the heli overlay and the P3Dv4 stock LICC airpport. The AI runway should be shortened to about 100m to suit John Young's helicopter models. I called it 1ICC for heli flight plans.

No idea whether it would work at all in P3Dv5, but you're welcome to do what you please with it. Maybe the two overlays will give you a start on making your own scenery?

Ten years ago... I released a package called Marina Militare Italiana for FS9, that contained what you are looking for.
You can try if it can be converted for P3D.

I did convert Georgio's 1ICC for P3Dv4 several years ago, including resizing the parking spots and replacing the lighting with dynamic spotlights. Happy to share it if Georgio is happy with that?

Thank you. I will give it a try in the RFscenerybuilding scenery. If it is close to the scenery, then it's good for me. I tried to make one, but the helicopters just disappeared instead of taking off normal.

I'm not aware of the RF scenery, but I do have some old commercial LICC installed which seems to work ok with 1ICC - I have replaced the phototile and edited the AFCAD to take the coastguard helos, but I did notice when checking out 1ICC that I need to delete the P3Dv5 default buildings on this airfield. I'll get a roundtoit one day...

Got the helicopters to turn up after I remembered Tim was on P3Dv5 and I had to recompile for v4

Ah yes, should have mentioned that. Sorry! I don't generally compile for P3Dv4 any more. Compiling for v5.2+ generally works for 5 and 6 and often for 4 too, I believe, but not always!

The scenery looks pretty good in my v. 5. Now, if I could only remember how to fly a helicopter...

If there's any feedback on the scenery, I'm happy to make minor edits. I realise that the parking arrangement IRL has changed since Giorgio's original was made. I've had a look at other sceneries in Sicily since this and as I likely have a medically-enforced period of relative inactivity coming up, I may look at updating them.
