My question is about AI Aircraft Editor -

Post by md11driver44 »

I have been using the AI Aircraft Editor for some time now and I was wondering if you could tell me if I made a mistake about where I place my P3D v6. At the moment I have it on my D drive but since the app is not finding my P3D v6 should I move it to my C Drive?

I have my P3Ds - both v. 5 and v. 6 - on my H: drive, and AIAE never had any problems finding them.

I could believe that the problem is that your system's folder structure doesn't show in the big portrait-style window on the left.

I would think that a reinstall of AIAE could fix the problem, if it doesn't, then Martin might have to step in.

I'll give that a shot.

Well, I tried. It is still showing the same mess.

Sorry to have missed this, Robert!

Obviously AIAE is unhappy with all three simulator installations. Please hover over the red fields in the status line and tell me what the tooltip says.

Also, please change the view to "folder view" with the radio button on the left side above the empty area. Does that change anything?

Last one - which OS are you running?
Cheers,
Martin

Could it be because both my P3D v6 folder and my folder for my AI Aircraft are in the same drive? (D)

That should not mean a thing. My v. 5 and v. 6 are on the same drive.

Should my AI Aircraft Editor be in the same drive as my flight sim I am using though?

I did move my P3D v6 over to my C drive and left my AI Aircraft on my D drive. My AI Aircraft Editor has now found P3D v3 but v6 is still in the red. I think I might just leave it like this.

OK. Update number, whatever number. Apparently, me removing P3D from my computer and then reinstalling it fixed my problem. P3D v6 is now in the green.
