DHC-4

Post by Nigel »

Hi,

Where can I find the DHC-4 GAI model for FSX/P3dv4 for the latest Egyptian AF plans.

Thanks

I'm not sure we had authority to convert it to FSX/P3D. Martin might know.

If we do then I would be happy to do the conversion.

Nigel,

You can actually do the conversion yourself. Get Model Converter X and try it out, it is so easy that even I can figure it out.

The hardest part is actually to set up the links to your sim under the Options... :D

So I would be careful with that advice (no offense Jorgen)... While MCX has gotten much better over the years it is still not 100% easy auto conversions and is still very prone to mistakes (missing/incorrect anim types, visconds ect), and or the quality of an auto conversion can still fall very well short of a true conversion / turning it into a quality V4+ grade model... In the case of the Caribou the ugly part with this model was that some of the opaque and transparent parts were mapped on to the same texture sheet and on my system MCX didn't pick that up as separate materials... Anyway hopefully nobody gets upset but here are the conversions I did for Dan..

Absolutely no offense taken, Mason.

There are some quirks in MCX from time to time that I haven't figured out yet, but most of the time it just works.

We are allowed to convert all GAI aircraft. Some more paints for this one and we could do a conversion pack.
Cheers,
Martin

Thanks folks,

aircraft.cfg has a typo... Category=airplanes should be Category=airplane

Doesn't affect MCX or AI-Aircraft Editor, but prevents the Caribou showing up in my sim and in AI Flight Planner.
