Thanks and goodnight
It is with a heavy heart that I today announce to you that I am definately retiring from FS development. It has been a wonderful almost 10 years that I have been involved in developing FS add-ons and especially the last few with MAIW, but I am afraid that real life has encrouched on my hobby time, and with the arrival of our second child in May coming up, I have even less time to play.
I thank everyone I have met here for their help and support, and enthusiasm over the years, and hope that you will continue to enjoy my work, and all the other great MAIW releases that are still to come. This is one of the greatest places I have ever come across on the net, where peoples willingness to share, and work together to achieve a goal is unmatched. Look at all the other FS developer groups that have come and gone, but MAIW is still standing and is still strong. I would love to keep doing this forever but my heart has gone out of it due to lack of spare time, and so now is the time to step back.
I wish you all well and hope that I can still keep in touch with those who I have made friends.
Best wishes to all
Nick Black.

All the best for you and your family, Nick. The FS world will be worse off without you, but family always comes first.
I, for one, applaude you and everything you've done.

Hi Nick,
Sorry to hear that but fully understand your reasons and my best wishes. Many thanks for the excellent work that you have done and the time it must have taken to develop all those models.
As you're now pretty local to me, maybe I'll bump into you sometime, I do a good fenceline tour of Wattisham!

Best wishes to you and your family. Your contribution to the hobby will be everlasting! Having a family myself, I understand. Don't be surprised if the bug bites again and you find yourself back here one day.
Good luck.

Best of luck to you, Nick! Our best wishes for you and your (growing) family! Many thousands of thanks for your countless contributions to the FS community....and MAIW specifically. Without you, we wouldn't have the phenomenal diversity of AI military aircraft....as well as many packages, effects, etc. A tip of the hat, sir!

Re: Thanks and goodnight
I'm so happy for your parents and wife's parents.
Grandchildren are among the greatest joys in life !!!! (Pic at the left is a half-dozen of mine.)
Though nothing compares to the first time someone holds their child. I hope you and the wife enjoy the kids.
I'm sorry to see you go, but folks have to have priorities, and family always comes before hobbies. Maybe after they are out of diapers you will be back.
