That's a good idea.

If you use the beacon operator, the effect will be triggered at AI startup. If you use the strobe light operator, it will be triggered crossing the hold short lines on the way in and out. If you use the landing light operator, it will be triggered crossing the hold short lines up to 10,000 feet.

The combinations are endless I suppose. I wish the effects would stay attached all the way to the ground on landing.

Are you going to keep the wing flex in there??

Mike,

At my current primary AI FDE test airport the engine smoke effects do stay attached all the way to the ground. However, as I test at other airports with longer runways and/or higher elevations that may not be the case. :(

Mike P. has kept the wing flex animation and has improved on it dramatically, but I'll let him describe the excellent improvements that he has made. :D

I've been working diligently for the past couple of days on an JMAI B-52 Big Bird FDE and from my testing observations Mike has done an outstanding job finishing this AI model up. :D

She currently is flying very nice VFR patterns as well as the usual IFR patterns and will probably even fly touch and goes if I can find a long enough runway.

Excellent news! I'll quit asking technical questions so as not to spoil all the surprises. :smt023

Well, there is an Edwards scenery under construction. Surely a 39,000 feet runway will do?

That is almost disgusting, but I still love the sight of a B-52 in flight.

What can I say, brilliant work. A series of models and paintwork that have been long desired since before the development of Flight Simulator 2004. Great to see Jakes original work on the main model eventially lit the light for the road forward.
    Well done.

Here's number one package, just uploaded to AVSIM....... Covers the non-combat-used aircraft which did their whole careers on nuclear deterrence duty. Includes the B-52B/C/E and RB-52B, plus 68 repaints and optional VFR (non-chute) models. More to follow.

Oh wow! I guess that I am going to have to hunt for ex-B-52s bases to add to my setup.

There was a small glitch with the AVSIM upload (forgot the readme file, my bad....). It has been corrected, and the file has been re-uploaded with no issues. These next two packages are in final in-game check, and should be out in the next day or so...... Part 2 is the B-52F, and Part 3 is the B-52D, between them are 104 serials, lots of Mk82 and Mk117 loads, and the first appearance of the AGM-128 Hound Dog missile (B-52F).
