If ya'll remember, I posted a link to an A-4 being sold as a restoration project on ebay a little while back. Shrug: Sometimes owners have "weird" senses of what's what if you ask me.
((My 2nd cousin, a WW2 B-24 pilot, maintained and flew a restored ME-108 (not a 109) for a number of years out of KNEW. He was both protective of it and liked to show it off --- somewhat contradictory impulses. As it was painted in a "traditional" Luftwaffe scheme, I guess the swastikas may have been the cause of some of the mixed reception he got from people who saw it and, therefore, his weirdness about it.))
