It is almost done.
Yes, it is a current scheme.
Not that complicated. It developed step by step, one at a time when I moved the squadrons to their correct locations.
some additional comments from my side:
regarding the flight plans:
The flight plans provided will not create AI traffic at other airports than NAS Patuxent River.
Instead waypoints over sea or virtual waypoints are used for the AI traffic as departure or destination airports.
AI aircraft will fly to these waypoints and disappear there or they will pop up near these waypoints and fly to NAS Patuxent River.
Or they will simply fly from one of these nine AFCAD files to another one.
regarding individual repaints
I made only one individual HX-21 Seahawk repaint, the one with the "Biofuel" patch and calibration markings.
There are flight plans for 6 Seahawks of HX-21. Aerial images only show one or two parked outside hangars.
Although scramble.nl list 12 Seahawks for HX-21 pictures can hardly be found.
I have not seen any squadron specific markings on the few pictures I have found or the pictures do not match with the serials found.
So I decided to use generic repaints (no modex numbers and serials) for them and only use 6 in total as I do not see a point in hiding them in the hangars
I also started to work on a paintkit for the Rory Kelly CH-53E ands MH-53E.
HX-21 has one CH-53E and MH-53E each.
They can be added later when they will be ready.
There is one item on my todo list left at the moment - a spotting guide
This will be a summary when a certain type of aircraft or a special repaint can be watched,
when it is a good time to observe the AI traffic.
