AI stands on the tail (question)

Post by YoYo »

Hi,
I started to convert the new model (FS9 to P3Dv5), no this AC-130 Spectre in MAIW library. Now I did new textures set in DDS, new windows effect and slow/blurred animation for props (so my learning gives me a progress) - but I meet the new problem. After the push back, the model stands on the tail and started to do taxi in this position  . Any solution for this?

TY for any help :)!

The centre of gravity is probably in the wrong position. Just wondered why you want to do that conversion when there's my AC-130 for FSX and P3D in the Hangar?

I saw it but its a modern version (https://militaryaiworks.com/download-ha ... -fsx-p3dv4). I need Spectre from 60-70's. :smt006

So for this can I change (the fastest way):

empty_weight_CG_position = 0.000, 0.000, 0.000

or maybe

static_cg_height =

for example?

I think the simplest way to look at this is, does JYs AC-130 work OK in P3D?

If so this would suggest that some alteration has been made to the fde by yourself for this model. My question here would be what and why?

If JYs fde works with out incident why alter it?

It's not my model or FDE Steve, is a legacy FS9 C-130 I think. I was thrown by the word "new".

For the pitch up problem try moving the centre of gravity + 6ft as a first try.

Static CG height and static pitch, only affects the way the aircraft spawns and settles on the parking spot. From then on, the contact points take over.

John,
I checked Your settings for yours 130, used this - empty_weight_CG_position=4.8, 0.0, 0.0 // (was "0") and now its ok, no issue, it does taxi on the right way and during a flight its ok too.

Thx!
