Re: Uninstalling Matrix North America

Wow. I did not know that. Very soul destroying for scenery people.

Re: Uninstalling Matrix North America

The run as administrator option is also found under the properties option. When you select 'Properties' you then hit the 'Compatibility' tab and you can find it. OK now on to the tricky bit. Have you deleted any files in the Matrix path? If the answer is yes then the uninstall is not going to work. ...

Re: Uninstalling Matrix North America

That does not sound normal. I have never had a shred option. Right clicking on an icon should give you at least a dozen options including 'Delete', 'Rename' and 'Properties'. Are you sure you are looking at the 'Matrix.exe' icon? The problem is that you installed Matrix in a protected folder, C:\Pro...

Re: Seaking Reloaded

Pdf sent, John. I got the manual both from my copy of the pack and my SK HC4 folder (just something I tend to do). The pack also has SK and SH traffic files in it. The size of the pack is 4.69 MB. Due to the differences that I have from what you have I have sent my version to you. Dated 28/8/15. Fea...

Re: Runway over length

If it is 10' wide then that is not causing your issue. You could try reducing it a bit but my guess is that it won't make that much of a difference.

Re: Seaking Reloaded

The package name is MAIW_RN_HC4_Sea_Kings_FS9_1.zip, now I don't know what the heading is in the Downloads Hangar as a simple 'Sea King HC4' did not reveal anything.

I definitely didn't dream this as there is a readme in the pack as well.

Re: Seaking Reloaded

The pack itself does not supply any extra Sea Harriers. It just uses ones that were released in the Sea Harrier from a couple of years earlier.
What it does do is supply a HC4 model plus paints.

Well it may not be the only place with them but they were in JYs Sea King and Sea Harrier Ops pack back in 2015.

Re: Runway over length

When working on really short runways another thing that will throw you off is the width of the runway. The wider the runway, the more the runway is extended past the nodes at the end.

My guess is that you don't have a wide runway but it is something to take into consideration.

Re: Dans bits & bobs

On the CH-53s, does anybody have the FS9 scenery for Mendig AB which apparently used to be available at www.freddy100mark.de, but seemingly does not appear to be valid now. I know that there are hoarders around here so I am hoping that somebody squirrelled it away. Having said that if anybody knows ...

Re: Resizing textures

What I use is one of two methods. For the manual approach try using Paint that comes with Windows. I make sure that the original 2048 texture is saved as a 32 bit bmp first. Then load it into Paint and resize to 50% and save as a 24 bit bmp. When you reload into DxtBmp you just add the alpha saved f...

Re: Justice Callsign

OK I figured out why this is not working. The author builds the word using the sound identifier ATC_NAME CURTIS. However the correct name in FS9 is ATC_NAME CURTISS. If you load JUSTICE.vcpmod into your favourite text editor and then amend each case of "ATC_NAME CURTIS" to "ATC_NAME C...

Re: Pau woe

Jon, The issue you are seeing is exactly how I described how the layer system works. With Pau as the higher number you get the poles but other stuff is missing. This is because Pau is overriding some scenery objects but not all, this is why with Pau having a lower layer number it gets loaded and wip...

Re: Aerospatiale Gazelle

Jon, The thing about FS9 higher or lower can mean different things according to what you are looking at. In reality the best thing to do is avoid talking about visual lists and only talk about the layer number, which is found in the scenery.cfg. Using layer numbers, the lower the number the earlier ...

Re: WSMG F-16

I loved the XL! It was a lovely looking beast. Taking into account what they now hang on the C, or bolt on the top of, it would have more sense to keep this version.
