Re: Which aircraft to add to AIFP?
OK this is quite a simple one. The information is there in the pics that you attached. In your aircraft.txt AIFP shows that you have only 1x a/c. All you have to do is add more. Now the reason that the same two planes show up is that you have both plans set to use plane #2. In simple terms to get tw...

Re: Hi! sorry if this is annoyance, but how i get started creating AI flightplans for FSX?
Well the usual suspects in this case are the first things to check. Are the flightplans written in local or GMT? Normally flight plans are written in GMT, as they are simpler to keep track of in your brain, but you will therefore need to convert the time into the local time at the airport of your ch...

Re: Carrier Airport
No you are right, but unless I read it wrong that is exactly what you are getting at the moment. I think that in normal circumstances the multiple runways are hidden at the north pole but I also remember that we had an issue at one of the USN training bases, Meridian, that had multiple runways and t...

Re: Carrier Airport
What I think might be happening here is that effect for multiple runways is in play (apologies but at the moment I can't recall the developers name or the actual name of the system). In the example that I remember the author of the system placed multiple runways at the North Pole every 10 degs (I th...

Re: Carrier Airport
Something that is confusing me. You said that the Carrier is pointing east-west and the runways are north and south. The picture in my mind I don't believe is correct, although if it is then it could explain your issue. Can you confirm the heading of the carrier, i.e. when you have an aircraft on th...

Re: Hi! sorry if this is annoyance, but how i get started creating AI flightplans for FSX?
Once you read the docs on AIFP then you will be able to pick up any FS9 plans from our packages, load them into AIFP and when you select the output as being for FSX then AIFP will automatically convert them into the correct format. Check any package that includes the txt files (aircraft_ , airports_...

Re: Released: Retro (1989) JYAI C-2A greyhound package
I know what Martin means. MSFS is quite different to the others but then again it is a more realistic sim. Especially when you are talking schemes and aerodynamics. MSFS24 will be even more so in terms of dynamics. If you have seen the animation of the hot air balloon inflating and deflating you can...

Yes, alter the height of the afcad to same height of PHNG afcad that you are using.

They look very nice.
The German ones remind me of the days when only the Bundesmarine were painted grey. I always liked that scheme.

Re: MAIW File Size Upload Limits
I had not done any research on this as I thought the original request was dealt with. However, it seems that the upload limit is not part of the website admin functions. I can only assume that it is part of the files management system and that I do not have access to. So, at the moment the short ans...

Re: AI helos from flyable models in FSX
Fair play to you for having a go. To be clear what you are doing is to rule out stuff at the moment. Don't get sidetracked into assuming that the issue is somewhere. Any IT analyst will tell you that. First try to see if it can be started with Ctrl-E, if it can are you able to start other AI aircraf...

Re: AI helos from flyable models in FSX
If there are no anims then it may be that the model is flyable only, as in you have to initiate the start. It was a few years ago but I do remember some models had something in them that meant that some manual starting was required. They were also choppers and in that case the rotors did not spin. I...

Re: MAIW JAI P-3 Orion Family Conversion Support
Ok, I took a quick look at the EP-3E and I think I know what happened. I fat fingered a couple of values so the nose gear is out of whack. I tried this model very briefly in P3DV4 and it looked good. If someone can test it in V5 for me and confirm it works I will try to fix the other models and upl...

Re: AI helos from flyable models in FSX
I have just downloaded the MD500E_CGA, I am assuming that this is the one you are working on. The first thing I noticed is that the UH-72 fde is for a Turboprop aircraft, where as the MD500 has a Helo-Turbine Engine. It might be worth trying to amend [GeneralEngineData] parm engine_type from 5 to 3 ...

Re: AI helos from flyable models in FSX
Are there any animations on the model, or does it just sit there? There are possibly two areas where problems can exist. Either something fde related or something flightplan related. Rule out the flightplan by altering it to another chopper fltsim entry that you know that works. If the chopper appea...

I guess the obvious thing is are you using the Stemme files for the MD500 or are you just trying to mod the default one?

Re: F-35 Fin Flashes
Depends on the nation. What makes me say that is that the Danes have just received their first 4 and they have toned down markings, i.e pale red and off white, rather than the grey shades of other nations. It has to be the make-up of the paint rather than the colour that is the most important thing....

Re: MAIW JAI P-3 Orion Family Conversion Support
If I am correct then yes. What you haven't said though is whether it is all models, just one, or even just one base affected. In effect, you have to identify how narrow or wide the problem is. You can't expect someone to start trying to fix everything when not everything may not be broken. This is e...
