Re: Windows 10

Swipe me that is good. OK so in theory I can get Windows 10 back on board without extra cost but everything else will still cost, even office. I base this on the recent case of a new laptop. Tried to reactivate Office and the automatic reactivation didn't recognise the code nor did a manual call to ...

Re: Midway new movie

I would agree with that. Until the Hellcat came out nothing could turn with the Zero. Its one weakness was its lack of armour, which enabled its manoeuvrability but that if you hit it you had a better chance of it going down than almost any other plane.

Re: Windows 10

Are you saying that if I don't have my key it will auto connect to microsoft and it will recognise my machine as valid?

If that is the case that would be remarkably helpful, but I thought all it did was allow an install but you still had to buy a key afterwards.

Re: Windows 10

Well I well and truly screwed myself. I was investigating a portable freeware app to manage Windows filewall, and it took over control and didn't allow any internet access. So the easy way out was to restore from the latest backup of my C (System) and D (Programs) drives that was taken on Saturday m...

Re: AI TSR 2

If I remember correctly, but I could be wrong, the closest version to the K was the FB-111A. I seem to remember that those on the production line were converted to that version. The main difference being the addition of a refuelling probe, standard RAF practice.

Re: PAI Installer error

The PAI Installer hasn't been supported for many years now and I would guess that Windows has changed enough that it will not run any more.

The only other thing you could try is setting its compatibility mode to XP to see if that forces it through.

Re: Danish Base Scenery

Those three files are all available on Avsim. I searched for 'denmark scenery' and ordered by date. Two of the 3 files are together on the second page.'

*update*
Searched for 'Kim Dahl' on flightsim.com and found the two main files and there is a link there to the service pack.

The normal place is in the texture folder of the scenery.
They are autogen scenery files.

Re: Need help with Matrix

I have a tendency never to put anything in the Program Files (X86) folder unless it absolutely needs it. Too many security issues. Is it the case that this is the first time you have run Matrix since your cutover? Now I had a look at my Matrix settings and in the user.config I found the "InstallPath...

Re: JYAI C-130J Specials

Yeah, I spotted an article in Flight International a few months back that said that all the legacy Herks remaining in US service would be getting the 8 blades and new engines.
Apparently the RTAF has also signed up for the upgrade.

Re: SLAF Katunayake

According to Scramble 10 sqn has 6x Kfirs of 3 versions and 5 Sqn has a total of 9x F-7/FT-7s, again in 3 versions.
12 sqn hasn't existed since 2014.

4 Sqn has moved base and the base is now home to 2 heavy transport sqn.

Re: Sinking AI

That is the classic case that the afcad is at a different height to the default afcad. I would double check the file you created. It is not specifically a flatten you need but an alt file that alters the height. If you just created a flatten then I don't believe that will solve your issue. Some of o...

Re: Enabling Scenery

I am guessing that the cause is UAC.

What is the full pathname of the the two pathnames of your "Military AI Works" folders?

If the add-ons.cfg is showing the correct info then my guess would that the folder on your desktop is in a UAC protected folder.
